The Power of Your Product Web Sites by Walt Barrett

First of all most of my friends said I would fail.
When we went on the Internet twenty years ago I was already 62, retired and very bored. I told my wife that I wanted to start another business, but I only wanted to spend a thousand dollars because the Internet was fairly new and businesses come and businesses go, especially in Rhode Island. So we bought the cheapest computer that we could find and off we went. I could only program in a language called "Basic" and was not that good at it either. It was no use to me at all! We found out very quickly that we would need web pages if we were going to ever succeed. We contacted people that made web pages and they were throwing prices at us like numbers out of the phone book. I said that there was no way that I would pay twenty-five hundred dollars or more per page for a web site so I bought a book on writing HTML code for about twelve dollars from one of the name book stores at the time and wrote my own pages. It's a lot easier and a lot more affordable now, and you have to do it. We started putting video ads on our pages back in the nineties long before You Tube. That is another thing that is a "must do." The latest project for our several web sites is that we are currently building all new pages that are mobile and desktop computer compatible. They automatically resize to fit the screen of the device that is trying to read them. It's a mind bending project for us, but again, it's a "must do" project. Our home office is here in Rhode Island and our first of several companies to go mobile on the Internet is BatteryChem.biz . It's almost done. Then we will do USADepotStores.com , Chinadepot.com , and GreenHeronDetergent.com . We have at least 350 videos on You Tube and more on Vimeo. I also write 10 Blogs and keep an index of them on our web site www.WaltBarrett.com
These are all "must do" projects if you are going to make money on the Internet.
I find that inventing and building products is the easy part, but in order to sell them you really have to work at. Try to choose unique, but popular products because the competition is murderous out there. Without the Internet we would be out of business.

Mass Producing Micro Homes and Micro Apartments by Walt Barrett

Here is a business idea for you. There is an urgent need for inexpensive energy efficient homes. Our company has done a great deal of research in the field of micro homes and all forms of alternate energy. We even went so far as to build a model home. Micro homes are inexpensive to build, and to heat or cool because they are less expensive to super insulate due to their small size. Multilevel are even less expensive per square foot, but less convenient for the elderly. We built our micro home for very little money using the best of all new of materials like the lumber, windows, doors, roofing, insulation and wiring. Two large solar panels provide all the electricity needed. There are many great free designs around to choose from depending on your needs and age. Elderly retirees do not enjoy crawling in and out of lofts on tiny ladders. Our design calls for a home built odorless composting toilet and a shower stall either commercial or home built and solar hot water. In other words a totally off the grid solar home. The total square footage including the 8' x 8' sleeping loft is 128 square feet. We are currently using ours for a garden office/studio because we have no real need for it. We could convert it to a home in a week.
We really liked the way our first attempt came out, but would definitely build our mass production model at least double the size. I would like 250 square feet for a two person micro home. I would like to see a kit made available too.
We liked the idea so much that we were going to set up a production line here in our home state of RI, but after doing a fact check and surveying the market we have put our plans for that business on the shelf at least for now. The reason for not doing the business in RI were the minimum housing size standards, the high land expense, and most importantly a lack of interest in micro homes in our area. It's a good thing that we didn't just go charging forward like a bull in a china shop or we would have blown a bundle of money very quickly.
What I would like to see is for someone in a state like Maine for example where many townships allow tiny cabins and camps as long as they meet the safety and sanitation codes do the market research like we did here in RI and if it merits it to go ahead and build a model retirement home that was designed for two people. I would take orders and mass produce it in the area utilizing local labor in an abandoned factory on a production line basis. Such a home could sell for much less than most new cars and would be much more easily financed, rented, or leased.  This could be leveraged into quite a business.
I have to admit that I am still uncertain if the time is right for the micro home in the USA, we intend to stay ready for when the time is right. The day is coming when micro homes and micro apartments will be all the rage. Several west coast cities have already changed their building codes to accommodate them. I would like to retail them for $100.00 a square foot maximum by mass producing them. Their day is coming and you may never pay another utility or heating bill.
Google micro homes and Google micro apartments. There is a wealth of information out there and please watch our videos below.
Thanks,
Walt Barrett

What Really Makes A Small Business Successful by Walt Barrett

There are many more people today that are thinking about starting a small business because there is so little job security in the world and I am here to tell you that it can be done, but there are some simple rules to follow and the people who follow them to the letter usually succeed while those who do not follow the exact rules usually fail.  The first thing that always comes to my mind is does this person really want to run a business or are they simply in love with the idea of running a business because there is a real difference, and when you become the owner of a business you also become your own support system both morally and financially, and that can be an awesome responsibility.  Personally I think that if you are fortunate enough to be employed you should consider starting a part time business to see if your idea is as great as you think it is.  For instance, I can tell you that you do not simply put up a web site and become an instant Internet millionaire and this is also true of any business that you can think of starting.  I have been running successful businesses on the Internet for seventeen years now and I'm going to share my best ideas with you.
1. The first thing to do is do not give up your day job unless you have money falling out of your pockets!
2.  Overhead is the monster that eats businesses. Try to accomplish as many things as you can in house because the lack of cash flow is the cause of most business failures.  You need a paycheck every week and that's why you need to keep some kind of regular job. You do not need a big rent bill either. Find a way to start off small.  I personally do not like expensive store front businesses. Think of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak starting off in a garage and the patience and guts that they had.  We started off in a basement workshop, with a home office and our warehouse was a $125.00 a month storage locker and only after we were forced to rent it.  We had to squeeze every penny until it bled!  Think twice and then think again about any purchases that you make and that goes double for any decisions involving the hiring of any kind of help.  When you consider all of the taxes, insurances and liabilities that there are today even one person can get very expensive.  In the beginning you might be much better off to contract out especially for really technical jobs. For example, we are paying a highly technical consultant right now in order to ship our chemicals to foreign countries.  Wait until your company matures financially enough before you make any serious hiring decisions.  In many cases a private contractor can be used and then excused.  We could go on and about overhead, but I think you get the general idea.  It's kind of like packing a lunch instead of eating out every day and it's less expensive oh so much better for you and common sense rules always.
3.  What is your product or service going to be?  Well I don't seriously care as long as there is a huge  demand for it all of the time.  It needs to be something that people virtually cannot get along without.  It has to save them money and it has to be the best quality possible. People have to want it and keep buying it.  I know a man that made millions by picking very successful products and figuring out how to make them better and much less expensive.
Food, clothing, shelter, daily living necessities, products to save industries and businesses money are all excellent places to begin looking for a little crack that opens the door to success for you.
Let's talk about a service business of the very near future that deserves for us all to take a look at.  You know, the jobs really are going to start coming back to America because they have to before our economy collapses totally.  There is one thing though and that is that the new American work force is going to contain hundreds of thousands of robots.  Now there are plenty of different ways to look at this and I am going to suggest that you look at in in a very positive way.  Consider the fact that not only do people have to build these new Bots, but these Bots are going to require plenty of repairs, parts, and other services.  A good way to start a business would be to go to the library and start getting every book and DVD I could find on the subject.  That's how I learned about Chemistry, Rockets, Electronic, Engineering, Photography, and Video Production.  Believe me when you are an inventor you need to have a smattering of all of them to start getting ideas and then pointing your ideas in that direction.   The point is don't just sit there, do something.  You really don't absolutely need to have a college degree to succeed.  Just look at what Steve and Steve did!  Do not burn yourself out.  It also takes patience and powerful observation to make a business work.  A wise man once said "Find a need and fill it".
What ever business that you start you must be sure to get as many films about your business on You Tube and all other free video sites.  You Tube is our single largest source of sales.  Social Networking customers rarely buy our products and spend far to much time on the Internet socializing all day to ever accomplish anything else.  We have over 230 Videos on the Internet and they pay big money by bringing us a ton of business!
4.  Try to stay as far away as possible from any businesses that are being over regulated by the various governmental agencies.  Many of these people have their own agendas and have already ruined hundreds of thousands of businesses and can they waste the taxpayers money or what!
5.  Last, but by far not the least today is that our company
NEVER GIVES CREDIT AND NEVER BORROWS EITHER.
I can just see all the Harvard boys scoffing at that one, lol, but we run in the black and always have.  I always say if you cant pay me now you cant pay me later!

If you would like to read more articles like this one then please subscribe to our blogs and comment.  We need the feedback or we cannot do this anymore. Say it's good, say it's bad, but please say something.
Thanks,
Walt

Recycling An Old Travel Trailer Into A Micro Home by Walt Barrett

I have to start off this piece by telling you that I am a huge fan of the Tiny House Blog that my very good friend Kent Griswold publishes on the Internet.  If you have never read it - you should.  The Tiny House Blog
Housing has always been a major concern of mine because My family started off very, very poor and and I started off in life by living in what many would describe as a tar paper covered shack.
That was indeed the derogatory term commonly used in the 1930's.
You don't ever forget that and the experience still drives me to this day to survive no matter what!
So anyway, I'm an avid reader of the tiny house blog and I keep seeing these articles about enterprising people who are purchasing older aluminum travel trailers and rehabbing them.  Now I'm a born businessman and had my own business by the time I was twelve so I know an opportunity to make money when I see one.  Well the latest article really set me off because I have been thinking all along that there are plenty of people who cannot afford the prices that are being asked for a micro home built on a used trailer frame.  So now I'm thinking about used travel trailers and I turned to the poor man's on line catalog craigslist.org and set up a search.  Well, the day I did the research there were older used aluminum travel trailers on there ranging from $450.00 needing a floor to $5,000.00 in very good condition.  I have been designing and inventing products for fifty years and I'm thinking to my self that there is no way I would ever pay $20,000.00 to $50,000.00 for a wooden shed that was built on a trailer frame!  If a person is handy they can replace a rotted floor in their spare time in a couple of days and in a couple of days they can repair and paint worn cabinets and interior wall panels.  Sinks, toilets and shower stall can be replaced if needed and as necessary.
When you replace the rotted floor try to put some good quality solid foam insulation under it and be sure to use treated plywood for the flooring.  The exterior can be washed, masked off and rolled with exterior paint.  Even if each one of these projects takes three days each you are not talking that much labor.
The trick is to put the unit back in good condition and to make it look fresh and as new as possible.  There is nothing wrong with recycling.
I estimate that if you are a neat worker and a steady worker that you can easily double your money on one of these used travel trailer units, or you can park it and rent it or live in it yourself.  If you do the latter don't bother spending a lot of money on new tires, but if you are going to use it on the road you should pull the wheels, Check the brakes if there are any, inspect and repack the wheel bearings, and replace the tires.  If the tires are tubeless you should recondition  the rims and replace the valve stems and get a spare tire.  Then you can sell it, rent it or live in it.  It's a win - win situation either way.
Happy Trailering!
Walt~

Saving A Fortune With Factory Direct Internet by Walt Barrett

Factory direct Internet marketing is rapidly changing the retail business.  Factory direct enables a savvy manufacturer to lower his prices and sell a much higher volume of product and to make a wider profit margin due to greatly reduced overhead.  A pure Internet marketing system has much lower overhead because it does not require hundreds of store fronts with all of the high mall rental fees and the army of employees with all of the labor problems and payroll and property taxes that goes with them.  Anyone who has ever worked in retail knows what I mean.
There are exceptions to every rule and items like clothing a shoes may never really fit into an Internet driven mass marketing scheme.
Return policies have to be stricter too.  Customers should be absolutely certain that they want an item before they make the purchase.  Manufacturers should be sure that the quality of their product is above reproach.  We are developing products specifically tailored for Internet marketing. Products that never break, or have to be returned.  Personally, I was always impressed by the Cross Pen, the Swiss Army knife and the Timex watch because of their quality and lifetime warranties.  We like to sell products with a low shipping cost too.  The amount of time needed to run out to malls combined with the high cost of gasoline will result in the gradual decline of our present system of shopping malls.  It is simply getting too expensive.
To make matters worse, bankrupt cities and towns are taxing property owners to death.  They cannot manage money and their ineptness is being passed on to the consumers.  I would be looking for fewer and smaller shopping malls in the future where they sell only the products that are not practical to sell on the Internet.  I'm putting my money on the Internet.
Our company Manufactures two excellent products that we sell factory Direct on the Internet and we never get returns, or complaints.
We Sell Battery Chem world wide www.batterychem.biz  and Green Heron Laundry Detergent for Regular and HE machines
http://www.greenherondetergent.com/ . Green Heron Laundry Detergent has no scents, no dyes, and is made from all natural minerals mined in the USA.  People with allergies love it!
Both of these products are manufactured by us in the USA and no one sells them as low as we do including delivery.
Believe me, factory direct marketing on the Internet is coming on fast and will be accelerated even more by high fuel prices, rent, taxes, bad local government and all the other overhead expenses that go with selling through malls and retail outlets.

Electric Forklift Battery Rejuvenation Break Through by Walt Barrett

For over twenty-five years our company has been developing and marketing lead acid battery rejuvenation products and preventative maintenance methods.  This is a very green business and it has also been very profitable.
Sometimes it takes a while to be discovered by industry our company was no exception until the Internet came along and then it went crazy!  For several years we have been experimenting with very large traction batteries that are used in electric forklift batteries and rail road locomotives.  The results have been excellent to say the least.  These batteries cost many thousands of dollars to replace.
We are trying very hard to reach the many thousands of electric forklift owners and recently have succeeded with a very large company that has 2900 units.  We are also work with a very large parts warehouse that has 650 electric carts for their parts picking operation.   If you feel that your company is hemorrhaging money due to electric forklift battery problems please contact me ASAP at wbarrett1@aol.com or 401 725 8141 for as many free phone consultations as you need.  We are also seeking stocking service technicians world wide.   Please watch the video below.
The battery shown in this video was subjected to extreme abuse and neglect.  It suffered from lack of water and the use of tap water.  We reconditioned it for this client and it is now back in service and working perfectly.
Thanks,
Walt

My Solution To Saving Your Financial Future by Walt Barrett

When I was a young man back in the late nineteen forties I never thought that I would ever live to see the turn of the century. Fortunately, it seems that I was mistaken in spite of the Korean and Vietnam war etc. Now, here we are just two months away from 2012 and I'm still clinging to life as tenaciously as ever, but is that a good thing, or a bad thing? The answer is that it depends on the state of your health and your financial circumstances. Several of my high school classmates have already died in near poverty, while others have been very prosperous. The thing is that when you are young you never stop to think too much about the end of your life, about your future. You know, that's the part where your city, or town taxes your property and thus your bank account out of existence, and you can't afford proper medical care, or paying your taxes and the town the town auctions off your property to a political insider so you get to go live in what I call the “The Brick Prison”, my term for the housing for the elderly. If you are not careful, that's your future life in a nutshell! I have actually had people recently ask me why they had to live so long because they have become so poor in their so-called “Twilight Years” that they are suffering hard. That is how it is in America today.
So what can you do to save your own future? Well this is my formula and this is how I have always done it.
 The rules go like this:
    1. Keep your day job if you are lucky enough to have one.
    2. Be damn sure to follow rule number one.
    3. Start a very low overhead business from home, and NEVER TAKE A PARTNER as it rarely works out in the long run!
  1. Find a product line of very frequently used and always needed products.
  2. Do not stock any products unless you are making them yourself. Otherwise find a reliable manufacturer in the USA like us (A to Z Global Marketing Inc.) that will manufacture and drop ship for you which will save you tons of money and hours of labor, and you can focus mainly on sales. A business like that runs almost on autopilot if you have a great product and a great supplier like our company that will even drop ship our American made products for you.
  3. Once you start to prove your concept and start showing a profit you can incorporate your business and start taking some pretty profitable tax deductions that the ordinary person cannot. Things like car payments, computer purchases, video cameras, advertising, Internet service fees, portions of your home expenses, etc. There are so many deductions that I could go on and on. You should always consult with your tax prepares. We use a CPA the is well worth the modest fee that we pay and is also a deduction. You save a fortune in taxes by incorporating even if your business only breaks even.
  4. Invest your profits back into expanding your business. You money is not safe in the market in any way shape or form. The so-called financial advisors are the only ones making money by making multiple losing gambles with your money. You have to learn to manage your own money and never trust anyone else to do it. Cash is no good in the bank either. Use it to carefully expand your company. It's OK to think big about your new business, but think small with your pocketbook. Jumping in with both feet can land you in financial quicksand. I prefer conservative business moves.
  5. Pay more attention to what is going on around you in the business world and economy. There are certain trends that will kill your business if you do not pay attention. Follow all the trends and statistics on the Internet. The information is priceless.
  6. Slowly build your little business so that as you get older there will be steady stream of income there waiting for you. If you get really lucky then your little business might turn into a big business and you can retire even sooner if that is what you really want. Always keep your overhead down and your guard up. Only hire people if you really need them as you are only going to hurt them more when you are forced to let them go when the money runs out.
  7. Be very careful about your new-found money. Money doesn't buy friends. It only buys you an entourage that disappears instantly when the money runs out. When you have a lot of money certain types of people will fall all over you. They come out from under rocks. Pay them no mind. If they weren't your friend before then they are not really your friend now. It's like when you win the lottery. The best thing that you can ever do is to get out-of-town where no one knows who you are! And last but not least is that I personally have seen over a thousand men take their new-found money and wine, woman, and song themselves right out of business. That story is as old as the Bible.
Well the above are just a few rules that have always worked for me. One of the best pieces of advice anyone can ever offer you is to talk to as many experienced and successful business people as possible and collect all the business knowledge that you can. I you have a really good idea you have to be very careful not to give it away. Keep it to yourself. I have heard many times that two of the countries richest young men got rich by stealing other people's ideas, or intellectual property.
If you learned something from this blog them please consider marketing one or several of out 100% made in the USA products and remember that we can drop ship anywhere in the world for you. We will also consider manufacturing any product that we feel is a viable product right here in the USA.
We currently manufacture in the USA:
A. Battery Chem
B. Green Low Cost HE and regular Laundry detergent Just add water kits and other Just add water cleaning products are coming soon.
C. Wide Window Sill pet and plant shelves cut to custom lengths.
D. Composting toilets.
E. Video Camera Steady Cam holders.
F. Low power inexpensive fuel cells for cell phone charging etc.
If you are interested in any of these businesses please contact wbarrett1@aol.com

You Can Make A Fresh Start by Walt Barrett

There are millions of people in the world that could really use a fresh start in life and the question that keeps nagging at my brain is what are they waiting for? I have been selling things and running companies successfully for sixty years. I have seen a great many other people who either succeeded of failed and I have heard a million excuses from people who failed in small business ventures. So you failed, so what, try harder next time. I can't remember how many ideas that I tried and failed at. So what, I failed, that did not ever stop me. I have always told myself to never give up and to never stop trying. That is my motto and it should be yours too. After several disasters I programed it into my brain. I have never been ashamed to admit that I failed, but I would really be ashamed to admit I was a person who never really tried and took the easy way out by making excuses and blaming everyone else for my problems. I hear a lot of that these days. I hear people say “I wish I had bought that franchise, stock, or business five years ago.” “I'd be worth a fortune now.” Well it's never too late for the next big thing now is it?
Instead they sit home all day, watch TV and drink beer. That is what I am seeing. I'll tell you what really frustrates me is the fact that I started a really successful proven business over twenty-five years ago that I am trying to expand and in spite of the fact that we are offering a totally free training program and no investment required we are not growing as quickly as we could be. I am beginning to wonder if people really want to work! Don't get me wrong, we are way in the black financially and we are expanding all over the world, but the lack of a heavier response, especially in the USA is absolutely maddening considering the unemployment rate. We do not require a college education or a great deal of cash investment. We basically need people who can do an average days work, can read instructions, and can learn what to do by watching free training videos on the Internet. We even have a free marketing program. We are offering you the full benefit of all of our business knowledge.
Our business is simple. We add chemicals to batteries that save them from a premature death. We are dead and dying battery recyclers and you don't have to be young Thomas Edison to do this work. You can set your own income with us. For instance if you recondition forklift batteries you can earn up to $5,000.00 a week if you are a worker and follow our free marketing plan. So if you really want to get ahead you should visit my web site www.batterychem.biz and read every scrap of free information and watch every single video as many times as it takes. The A to Z Global Marketing Salt Water Powered Energy Cell by Walt Barrett

The research team at A to Z Global Marketing Inc.  Has succeeded in developing a power cell that runs on salt water as well as several other inexpensive chemical mixtures.  One small unit already will power a reading lamp for months.  Larger units will charge many types of storage batteries.   Preliminary testing indicates that a 24 or 36 volt cell cluster will power an electric scooter several hundred miles on a few gallons of salt water or other inexpensive chemicals fuels formulated by the research team headed by Winchell and Barrett.    The next step in the process is to develop the most efficient manufacturing process, and proper containment of the power cell.  The goal is to make the cell easily field serviceable and transportable.
Once the power cell is scaled up in size the day of easily driving a thousand miles non stop in an electric vehicle may not be as far away as you think.

Three great TAX waves Coming! EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS

This was emailed to me by one of my Internet friends.  If anyone can disprove any of the statements in this article I would like to hear from you with the proof in writing.   I don't like the sound of it and I am thinking seriously about the future of my family and my business.   Many people are already having trouble paying their property and fire taxes without the Feds taking even more money out of their pockets.  I am already considering my options.

Read This before November’s elections
"It takes twenty years to build a reputation and five minutes to lose it. If you think about that, you will do things differently"
-Warren Buffett

In just six months, on January 1, 2011, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect.
They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves.

On January 1, 2011, here’s what happens... (read it to the end, so you see all three waves)...
     First Wave:

Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief
In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families.
These will all expire on January 1, 2011.

Personal income tax rates will rise.

The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed).
     The
lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent.
     All the rates in
 between will also rise.

Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the samemathematical effect as highermarginal tax rates.

The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:
  • The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
  •
  • The 25% bracket rises to 28%
  •
  • The 28% bracket rises to 31%
  •
  • The 33% bracket rises to 36%
  •
  • The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

Higher taxes on marriage and family.
The "marriage penalty" (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income.
The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child.
The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level.
The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.

The return of the Death Tax.

This year only, there is no death tax.  (It’s a quirk!) For those dying on or after January 1, 2011, there is a 55 percent
top death tax rate on estates over $1 million.  A person leaving behind two homes, a business, a retirement
account, could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.  Think of the farmers who don’t make much money, but their land, which they purchased years ago with after-tax dollars, is now worth a lot of money.  Their children will have to sell the farm, which may be their livelihood, just to pay the estate tax if they don’t have the cash sitting around to pay the tax.  Think about your own family’s assets.  Maybe your family owns real estate, or a business that doesn’t make much money, but the building and equipment are worth $1 million.  Upon their death, you can inherit the $1 million business tax free, but if they own a home, stock, cash worth $500K on top of the $1 million business, then you will owe the government $275,000 cash!  That’s 55% of the value of the assets over $1 million!  Do you have that kind of cash sitting around waiting to pay the estate tax?

Higher tax rates on savers and investors.
The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011.
The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011.
These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.

Second Wave:
Obamacare

There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011.  They include:

The "Medicine Cabinet Tax"
Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).
The "Special Needs Kids Tax"
This provision of Obamacare imposes a cap on flexible spending accounts (FSAs) of $2500 (Currently, there is no federal government limit). There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children.

There are
thousands of families with special needs children in the United States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education.
Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington , D.C. ( National Child Research Center ) can easily exceed $14,000 per year.
Under tax rules, FSA dollars can not be used to pay for this type of special needs education.
The HSA (Health Savings Account) Withdrawal Tax Hike.
This
provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAsand

Third Wave:
The Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) and Employer Tax Hikes
When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they'll be in for a nasty surprise-the AMT won't be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired.
The major items include:
The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year.
According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress' failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families-rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million.  These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level.  The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.
Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear.
Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or "depreciate") equipment purchases up to $250,000.

This
will be cut all the way down to $25,000.  Larger businesses can currently expense half of their purchases of equipment.
In January of 2011, all of it will have to be "depreciated."
Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses.
There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place.  The biggest is the loss of the "research and experimentation tax credit," but there are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.
Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced.
The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available.

Tax credits
 for education will be limited.
Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses.
Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut.
Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed.

The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed
for hundreds of thousands of families.
Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed.
Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA.

This
contribution also counts toward an annual "required minimum distribution."  This ability will no longer be there.

And worse yet?

Now
, your insurance will be INCOME on your W2's!
One of the surprises we'll find come next year, is what follows - - a little "surprise" that 99% of us had no idea was included in the "new and improved" healthcare legislation . . . those who backed this administration will be astonished!

Starting in 2011, (next year folks), your W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or governmental body of some sort.

If you're retired?  So what... your gross
will go up by the amount of insurance you get.
You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen.  Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt.  That's what you'll pay next year.

For
many, it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse.

This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the15% that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases.
Not believing this???  Here is a research of the summaries.....
On page 25 of 29: TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001,
as modified by sec. 10901) Sec.9002  "requires employers
to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income."
